PRO-gressions
Ages 7 and up
Focusing on a more disciplined approach, our tweens and teens enjoy progressive technique classes designed to meet both the social and technical levels of our students in a progressive manner for a variety of dance styles in a professional atmosphere. Disciplined, committed training and class participation along with class dress codes is expected of students in this series. Special performance opportunities (in addition to showcase and recital) may be offered for this series.
Placement
Placement is determined by both age and ability.
ALL students must take a placement class before registering.

What to Expect
Students at this level have the option to select which style(s) of dance they enjoy allowing them to customize their training.
Classes may be on multiple days.
We recommend one year of Discover Dance for all beginning dancers before moving to this series or have the Director's permission.
Levels 1 and 2 are designed to meet skill and social requirements. (Ages listed are guidelines and may be adjusted as needed)
All students Level 3 and higher must have the Director's permission to register for these classes.

Ballet/Pointe
Classical ballet technique that combines grace, movement precision with focus on body placement and technique to enhance all styles of dance. Students will work towards being en pointe under the guidance of trained ballet teachers.
Students must pass a series of skills before being allowed en pointe.
Dress Code: Class leotard, class skirt or black fitted shorts, pink tights, split sole ballet shoes, hair in bun.

Jazz
Combines ballet, lyrical and popular dance styles that combines specialize body movement, and rhythmic stylings. Students will explore a variety of styles from commericial, pop, broadway and more.
Dress Code: AIDA tank top, or class leotard, black leggings, jazz shoes, hair pulled out of face

Tap
Percussive dance that blends jazz and funk into a rhythmic experience.
Dress Code: AIDA tank top or class leotard black leggings, jazz shoes, hair pulled out of face

Tap 3/4 (company) Mon 7:45-8:15 *invitation only
Contemporary
Combining the beauty of ballet, the emotion of modern dance and the rhythmic movement of jazz, students will enjoy movement that challenges their body and mind.
Dress Code: Ballet class leotard, black leggings, shoes (TBD), hair pulled out of face.
Beg/Int Ages 6-13 Mon5:15-6:00
Company Thurs 5:15-6:00 (invitation only)

Levels are determined by skill not age.
ALL students new to leveled classes or AIDA MUST enroll in Level 1 unless notified by Director.
Company auditions are held each spring. If you are new to AIDA and want to be considered for company, please contact the office.

Tuition
Based on the number of hours you dance each week with automatic discounts given for multiple classes taken in this series.
A $5/class non-refundable deposit will be required to hold your spot. This will be deducted from your total due.

Showcase Fees
*please note that based on our meeting May 2023, company classes WILL NOT be in Winter Showcase due to The Littlest Angel.
Company members will be in Mary Poppins Spring 2024
Dance Fees are as follows: (fees are based on one costume= $60 and 2 tickets=$10 each)
*One show/one child or dance $80 (one costume/2 tickets)
*One show/two children or two dances $140 (2 costumes/2 tickets)
*One show/three children or three dances $200 (3 costumes/2 tickets)
*Two shows/two children or dances $160 (2 costumes/ 2 tickets per show)
These fees will apply to both winter and spring shows.
