Whether you are just starting out or you are on our PRO-gressive learning track, EVERYONE matters at AIDA.

Aspire! Performing Arts Company and
PRO-gressions Ages 7 and up 

Focusing on a more disciplined approach, our tweens and teens enjoy progressive technique classes designed to meet both the social and technical levels of our students in a progressive manner for a variety of dance styles in a professional atmosphere. Disciplined, committed training and class participation along with class dress codes is expected of students in this series. Special performance opportunities (in addition to showcase and recital) may be offered for this series.

 

Placement

Placement is determined by both age and ability.  

ALL students must take a placement class before registering.

What to Expect

NEW Enrollment is Sept to May

Students at this level have the option to select which style(s) of dance they enjoy allowing them to customize their training.

Classes may be on multiple days.

We recommend one year of Discover Dance for all beginning dancers before moving to this series or have the Director's permission.

Levels 1 and 2 are designed to meet skill and social requirements.  (Ages listed are guidelines and may be adjusted as needed)

All students Level 3 and higher must have the Director's permission to register for these classes.

 

ASPIRE! Performing Arts Company

 MEMBERS MUST BE ENROLLED IN A BALLET CLASS

Jazz, tap and contemporary company classes double as tecnique classes.

NEW this season students may sigh up for solos, duets and small groups.

Ballet/Pointe

Classical ballet technique that combines grace, movement precision with focus on body placement and technique to enhance all styles of dance. Students will work towards being en pointe under the guidance of trained ballet teachers.

Students must pass a series of skills before being allowed en pointe.

Jazz

Combines ballet, lyrical and popular dance styles that combines specialize body movement, and rhythmic stylings. Students will explore a variety of styles from commericial, pop, broadway and more.

 

Tap

Percussive dance that blends jazz and funk into a rhythmic experience.

Dress Code: AIDA tank top or class leotard black leggings, jazz shoes, hair pulled out of face

 

Contemporary

Combining the beauty of ballet, the emotion of modern dance and the rhythmic movement of jazz, students will enjoy movement that challenges their body and mind.
