Preschool Arts Adventures at Arts Inspired Dance Academy in Fuquay offers a unique and enriching learning experience for young children, blending early childhood development with the performing and visual arts. This innovative program, designed for preschoolers ages 3-5, integrates literacy, dance, and gymnastics into one fun-filled and educational morning.

 

The vision behind Preschool Arts Adventures comes from Owner/Director Michelle Hankins, who holds a BFA in Dance Performance and a BS in Child and Adolescent Development. With 30 years of experience teaching students from preschool to college level, along with 40 years of involvement in the performing and visual arts, Michelle has created a program that nurtures children's social, emotional, cognitive, and creative growth while introducing them to the arts.

 

The program is led by Lead Teacher and Studio Development Coordinator Caitlyn Kell, who brings five years of classroom experience, along with 12 years of dance experience. Ms. Caitlyn is certified in Rhythmworks Integrative Dance, Kids Yoga, and has completed numerous early childhood education credits. Her nurturing approach helps create a supportive and welcoming environment for students to thrive.

 

Each morning, children enjoy a variety of activities:

• Song and Play: The day begins with songs, games, and cooperative play to promote socialization and creative expression.

• Alphabet Art: Students explore literacy through fun and hands-on art projects that incorporate different materials and techniques.

• Ballet/Tap Class: After snack time, children engage in ballet and tap, where themed songs and creative movements help develop early dance skills.

• Gymnastics: In the gymnastics room, students participate in activities that build strength, coordination, and body awareness, while learning basic gymnastics and tumbling skills.

 

The morning typically concludes with a fun game or free expression time, giving children the opportunity to wrap up their day with a sense of accomplishment and joy.

Cost is $540/sesmester or $108/month

$35 non-refundable deposit required

Students should wear any dance wear, bring a water bottle and a light snack (granola bar, etc)

​

Please note this is an independent learning class (parents will drop off/pick up in the lobby) and students must be restroom independent (This includes wiping and changing clothes)
