Arts Inspired, located in downtown Fuquay-Varina, is an award winning studio with a mission to inspire a passion for education, development and community enhancement in the cultural arts in a non-competitive, community focused studio environment. We pride ourselves in keeping our music, dance steps and costuming age appropriate. Classes are grouped by age until age 7 and are designed to focus on fun, friendship and movement. Students age 7+ begin focusing follow a progressive curriculum focusing on proper dance technique, class etiquette and discipline in a fun, loving atmosphere.
Whether you are looking for a low commitment class for your toddler or preschooler, want a social class environment, or have dreams of pointe shoes, there's something for everyone! Babies, children, teens, adults, and seniors will find a variety of options to fill their dance dreams.
Recital track students enjoy a winter showcase will allow families to observe their child’s progress during the final week of classes with a larger spring recital to be held the first weekend in May. Special events such as nursing home performances, fundraisers and community outreach round our our program.
Workshops for your scout troupe, homeschool group or other organization, along with special programs and events for track-out, school holidays, guest instructors and more provide a well-rounded child-centered, educational experience.

AIDA's Summer Weekly Classes and Mini-Camps are designed to give your child a chance to enjoy dance for the first time, explore a new style, make new friends and have fun.
We have broken the summer into 5 week sessions that will feature a small, in-house showcase during the final class/camp. Fees include tuition and supplies.
A $/25 student ($15/sibling) annual registration fee is due for all new families.
Registration is required for all classes. Classes without minimum registration will be canceled.
Fees are non-refundable. In the event AIDA cancels a class and substitute can't be found, we will refund the balance minus registration fees.

Creative Movement Ages 18 months-3 yrs

Students will explore movement, music and tumbling with a guardian. A great intro class that uses themes and props help us learn the basics of dance while having fun! Any dancewear, ballet shoes or bare fee is ideal for this class.

Children's Program Ages 3-7 yrs
Pre-School and Early elementary classes feature seasonal themes to enhance their learning environment. Music, songs, props and more bring our themes to life to make each class educational and fun.
Intro to Ballet/Tumbling Ages 3-6 yrs
Students will explore basic ballet and tumbling movements.
This introduction to dance and tumbling promotes a love for the art at an early age by providing a fun, well-organized atmosphere. Age-appropriate songs and dances provide a nurturing, stimulating, structured classroom designed to teach the basic terminology and movement of ballet. Basic tumbling, agility and balance skills will round out our class. Any dance wear and bare feet is required.
Ballet and Tap Ages 3-6 yrs

Students will explore basic ballet, tap and tumbling skills.
This course provides a more structured learning environment for our upper preschool and early elementary students that have completed Pre-Ballet. A fun, upbeat environment using a happy blend of songs and dances helps teach the basic terminology and movement of ballet and tap.

Summer 2020 Mini-Camps

Join us for our fun mini-camps that explore the world of ballet and musical theater. Students will enjoy looking deeper into the lives of professionals, learning the history behind famous ballets and loved musicals, while furthering their skills in these elite performance styles.
Camps are offered in 5-week sessions that meet once a week.

Ballet Classics Age 5 and up
Focusing on ballet favorites Coppelia and Cinderella , students will enjoy combining ballet technique with story lines, crafts, original choreography and more. Cost includes supplies, props and a costume to wear for an end of session performance.
This summer students will explore two ballet favorites:
Coppelia is about a girl named Coppelia who sits on her balcony all day reading and never speaking to anyone. A boy named Franz falls deeply in love with her and wants to marry her who learns, after some comedic chaos, that she is actually a doll.
Cinderella is the well known and loved story of a girl who lived with her stepmother and her two stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. Despite their jealous, mean behavior, Cinderella, with the help of the Fairy Godmother and friends, meets her prince.

Intro to Musical Theater Ages 5 and up
Students will explore the development of a broadway production each week learning about the history, choreographers and composers of musical favorites. Students will combine song, dance and acting to create a musical presentation for the final week of camp. Cost includes supplies, props and a costume to wear for end of session performance.
Students will be creating their own production of the following musicals this summer:
Aladdin-When street rat Aladdin frees a genie from a lamp, he finds his wishes granted. However, he soon finds that the evil has other plans for the lamp -- and for Princess Jasmine. But can Aladdin save Princess Jasmine and his love for her after she sees that he isn't quite what he appears to be?
Seussical is based on the works of Dr. Seuss and weaves together his most famous tales and characters from at least fifteen of his books.
Frozen is based on the movie of the same name. The story centers on the relationship between two sisters who are princesses, Elsa and Anna. Elsa has magical powers to freeze objects and people, which she does not know how to control. After inheriting the throne, Elsa flees, inadvertently causes the kingdom to become frozen in an eternal winter, and nearly kills her sister. She must sacrifice and show true love to save the day.

We will be hosting a fundraiser viewing of the ballets prior to camps beginning. Fundraiser will support our non-profit, Inspired Kids to raise funds for scholarships and program funds for special needs students. Learn more about Inspired Kids here.
