Dress Code

This document outlines the specified clothing required for each class.  Appropriate clothing, shoes and hair create a full learning experience. Younger dancers have more flexibility in their dress allowing for creativity, while older dancers have a more professional dress code to keep their focus on dance and allow optimal visibility of lines and placement for instructors.

A couple of reminders:

Dance shoes should NOT be worn outside of the studio.  Street shoes are NOT allowed on the studio floor, this includes dance shoes that have been worn outside.

Older dancers should be modestly covered when entering and exiting the studio.

Please consider that we are not always right side up in dance and classwear should allow for full coverage at all times.

Where can I get dancewear?

AIDA Boutique will be your in-house dance supplier.  Leotards, shoes, dancewear and more can be purchased at the studio.   Please schedule your fitting appointment at the front desk.

You do not have to purchase dancewear from AIDA Boutique, with the exception of class leotards, recital tights/leotards.  Dancewear can be purchased from any local dance shop or buy gently used dancewear from consignment stores.  We do ask that you consider AIDA Boutique first.  We can help you select the perfect size and outfit for your dance needs.

A small selection of pre-owned shoes, leotards and tights are available for a small donation.  Shoes are $5, Leotards $3, tights $2.

What do I need for class?

Again, we want to create a comfortable environment for all students.  Please be respectful and modest in your dancewear selections.
