AIDA Cultural Arts Camp
is the perfect summer or track-out camp for rising 1st-6th graders in Fuquay-Varina and surrounding areas. Our mission is to develop creativity, confidence and community awareness in the cultural arts. Students will enjoy a vacation filled with dance, music, visual arts and so much more. Full and part-time camps available.
Creativity, Confidence, Community
Imagine spending your vacation immersed in the cultural arts, building confidence and impacting our community. Daily and weekly classes, combined with performance opportunities, community service projects, walks to local parks, and learning more about the community we live in will provide a unique experience for your child. A low instructor/student ratio with professional, qualified instructors will ensure a personalized learning experience.
Daily Movement classes focusing on a variety of dance styles will keep students moving and grooving. Mornings will begin with a stretch/yoga or fitness class and students will take weekly dance classes in ballet, jazz/contemporary, musical theater and tap.
Daily music classes will focus on the foundational elements of music. Rhthym, tempo, dynamics and more are brought to life using instruments, song and movement. Students will also have the opportunity to utilize instruments such as pianos and handbells to begin reading and understanding music. Weekly studies will include learning about one of the worlds greatest composers.
Exploring the world of art has never been more fun! Students will enjoy simple crafts and freedom to express themselves throughout the week. Weekly studies will include a focus on a great artist and creating art to match their style. This may include walks to local parks to truly mimic the efforts of these great artists.
In addition to studying about the arts, students will have the opportunity to use their talents to enhance our community. This could include a community art project, collaborating with local business, local performances and more.
Visiting local museums, local businesses and more are on our list of ways to explore and enjoy our amazing community.
All students must be registered with AIDA to participate in camp. A one-time registration fee of $15/student is required for all students not currently registered with AIDA.
